Music

“Praise the LORD! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD!”
—Psalm 150

Ministry Through Music

Music is a very important ministry here at Trinity.  We have diverse opportunities for those who enjoy music from listening, to singing, to playing, or supporting those who do.

Ministry through music means different things to different people: to those who participate actively, it is a means of stewardship and expression of faith.   To listeners and responders, it becomes a means of expression of praise, thanksgiving, confession, gratitude, adoration and worship of God.  The music at Trinity Lutheran is an inclusive program, encompassing many musical styles and eras, all ages and abilities, speaking to and drawing from the musical heritage of the whole church.

Worship Choir

The Joy of Singing in Trinity Lutheran Church Choir

Thursday Night Rehearsal 6:45 pm, weekly (Sept – June)
Trinity Church Choir is a non- auditioned choir with members who love to sing and want to learn to improve their singing and musicianship by singing and praising God in worship. The choir meets weekly on Thursday nights for rehearsal. (Sept-June) The choir explores many types of music, from Gospel, spirituals, Folk Music to the Classics. We welcome new members who love to sing and are open to growing both Spiritually and musically.

As members join their voices and hearts, preparing and performing, they also grow spiritually. The music, with its sounds and colors and text filled with scripture and the human condition, is studied, understood, and shared collectively with others, spreading God’s message in pitch, rhythm, and words. As we explore the various aspects of singing through the richness of timeless text, rhythms, and different styles and genre, the process beautifully reinforces our faith as we have fellowship with each other and are inspired to live out a genuine walk with our Savior. Come share the song that the Lord has put in your heart! The Trinity Choir is directed by Andrea Hammond and accompanied by Amy Komie.
